This tutorials is a short and simple one to show you how you can easily produce a
zoom type effect using photoshop. This is usfull to know as it can produce some
great effects to work.

First of all open up a new document any size you want and press D to select the
default colours.

Then do the following:
Filter > Render > Clouds
Filter > Pixellate > Mezzotint > Medium Lines
Filter > Blur > Radial Blur > 100% > Zoom > Best

Then press Ctrl + U to bring up the hue+saturation menu. when changing the colour values make sure the "colorize" option is ticked



Now play around with this technique and see what you can come up with.

You can also play around with this, try adding the following:
Optional - Filter > Stylize > Glowing Edges

After the radial blur filter (just before applying the hue+saturation) to end up with something a little more different like this:
