In this Tutorial I will show you how to make from a simple foto with 2 nice girls, 2 hot girls !

This tutorial is simple. For who knows how to use Vector Masks, it will be very easy. Who don’t have a clue what a Vector Mask is, he will know for sure after reading this tutorial.

To start, I got this picture from www.sxc.hu
Open it in Photoshop. Next, double click the “Background Layer” so you can edit it. Create a new layer, fill it with any colour. Next, go to Layers tab, select the new layer, right click to it, and select “Blending options”. There check “ “Color Overlay” and add this color : #ffd200. Change the “Blending Mode” to Overlay.




Click OK.
Now make shure, in the Layer’s tab, that this new layer is selected and change the “Blending Mode” to “Color”.
The next step is using the Vector Mask.
Go to the bottom of the Layer’s tab and you will find this button :




Click it and a new whit square will show up in the right of the layer. Select it.




Now select the brush tool. Here is how this works. Now, when the vector mask of a layer is selected, you can only work with Black and White. Here, where we have 2 layers, the bottom layer is the Original picture and the top layer is the “Color” Layere, if we select the “Brush Tool” with “Black” color, and we will start painting at the top Layer’s, Vector Mask, we will see that the color will disappear, showing the original bottom layer.
Start painting with black, so we will leave only the left girl’s hair with this colour. At the edges, you can set the brush hardnes to 50%.
For the second Girl, use a Black Layer, so the hair will be black.




Now, repeat this step for the eyes, with #00f0ff, for the lips, with #8e0089 and for the eyes contour, with : #107329. For the eyes contour and the lips, set the Layer Opacity to 50%, so it will show a nice effect.






In the next step, Create again a new layer, fill it with : #97ddec, set the Layer “Blending Mode” to Color, create a Vector Mask, select the Vector mask and with a “Black” Brush, paint the girls, so will remain only the background. We will have then that nice black background.. You can try different colours.
This step can be a little more difficult, because you have to be careful at the hair. Use different brush sizes.




The final step is to change the skin colour, this repeats the other steps, with #722b00 color, but set tha Layer “Blending Mode” to “Soft Light”.
